AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

What should one do if they feel guilty about having bad thought? What should one do if they feel guilty about the anger they expressed? Please guide me on this.β›ˆοΈπŸŒͺοΈπŸŒ‹πŸ˜”

As I said guilt is a wrong response. One has to learn the secret of alchemy, of turning wrong movements into the right ones. As you have already understood guilt, anger, illwill, hate, jealousy etc are wrong movements because they sap our energies, bring harm to the person who harbours them as well as the person towards whom they are directed. To deal with these movements one has to first treat them not as part of yourself but as something from outside. When they arise you must immediately step back and say “I am not these things. I am the Mother’s child full of Her Beauty and Love. These things are low and ugly and I refuse to admit them.” Call the Mother to help you reject these movements when they arise.

Substitute them with their opposites, guilt with forgiveness and a right understanding that one does what one does due to ignorance and not because one is bad. Most human beings are basically good. There are very few who consciously and deliberately harm. Most do it almost instinctively due to perceived threats, perceived wrongs, perceived insecurity. One needs to change these perceptions and replace them with right and generous perceptions. Substitute anger with peace and with a philosophical attitude towards life. Contemplate the limited and transient nature of everything and aspire for Perfection and the Permanent good.

Read books that uplift and turn towards the Divine. Slowly a luminous path will open before you, a path of lasting happiness and peace.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Dada, how to stop thinking? I mean, continuous thoughts are coming and going regarding useless things. Sri Aurobindo has said we have to watch thoughts and not attach any importance to them, but how should we do that? Or how to calm our minds and think about our Master’s only?🌊πŸŒͺοΈπŸ€―πŸƒπŸ§

While stopping of thoughts completely is not an easy thing, it is very much possible to direct the flow consciously towards an object. Thus, you can consciously let your thoughts run around the idea of God, or of a Divine…

Kindly let me know if the understanding below is incorrect: As SAT, CHIT, and ANANDA are the 3 aspects of PARABRAHMAN, meant for the manifestation in our universe, so are the infinite other aspects of PARABRAHMAN meant for the manifestation in many other universes. And that is how millions of universes, of different kinds, have been created by the Divine.πŸ•‰οΈπŸŒŒβœ¨πŸ‘οΈ

Sat, Chit-tapas, Ananda are the three principle aspects. All other aspects such as Peace, Wisdom, Knowledge, Compassion, Strength, Beauty, Harmony, Love are derived from these four fundamental aspects of the One Infinite. Each…
