AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

I was thinking that my sadhana was going well, but am getting desires of having a girlfriend too strongly. I try to surrender those to mother but have strong impulses. Please advise me what to do😥?

Go through the experiences that life brings to you. Sadhana does not depend so much upon these outer things which are besides, natural and normal at your age. It depends mainly on your attitude towards things and people. One may have girlfriend or boyfriend and yet be engaged in sadhana while one may be a confirmed bachelor yet extremely egoistic and selfish and far from God. Be true in whatever you do and offer it all to God. Increase your aspiration and sincerity as you go through the changing scenes and scenarios of life. Be clear about the aim and be inwardly focused upon it and no outward circumstance can stand in the way eventually. When desires arise offer them to the Divine Mother not out of fear but in a state of surrender and see where and how She leads you even through the desire.

Alok da, Beggining with your training in psychology to walking in the path of The Mother today, what is your estimate of psycho spiritual condition of humans at large, I don’t even mean spiritual or yogic but atleast of what you’d consider a healthy mind and spirit. Let us leave the supramental, spiritual and psychic apart for a moment. Nor can we arrive at the real problem if we just think in terms of numbers and case studies.

1. Has there been an increase of psychiatric as well as other illnesses?

Most probably yes. The reason is manifold. Science with its expansion of medication has lowered the natural resistance as far as physical conditions go.
