AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Would you kindly tell us about the strength and greatness of Draupadi? I have always wanted to know more about Tara & Mandodari as well. What kind of strength did they have that helped them to love their husbands who never followed the path of Dharma? ๐ŸŒนโœจ

If we take a closer look at the five pratah smaraniya, the five women worth remembering every morning with respect, we shall see a common thread. All of them had exceptionally difficult lives and met with injustice despite being on the path of Dharma. Ahalya was accursed. Tara was forced to marry Vali, her husband’s brother, after he turned Sugriva away from the kingdom. Kunti and Sita were both ostracised by Society. Mandodari faced a life of ignominy. Draupadi suffered untold humiliation. Yet despite the extraordinary challenge and exceptional difficulty, they refused to succumb. Rather, they bounced back upon life and stayed with dharma right till the end. While there are many other great feminine personalities, these 5 or 6 show a capacity to reinvent themselves in times of adversity and unusual challenges.

Affectionately

Alok Daย

It is the struggle that most people of the new generation feel. The simplest way to deal with these things is to stay focused on your goal and not try to change people, however significant or close they may be in your life. To try changing others or to expect them to….

Namastey Alok Da, I was reading some predictions related to Pakistan and China by Mother and Sri Aurobindo on the website, Was the Mother referring to a future event that is yet to manifest, or was this vision specific to that time period and did not occur due to divine intervention or a change in the working of forces? Is there any future possibility where China might invade India?๐Ÿชท๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŒ๐Ÿฎ

She was referring to a possibility, a possibility that was strong at that moment as well remains a risk for the future. Sri Aurobindo also said that they are very restless and saw the threat of Red China invading India through Tibet. As long as the Communist party …

I have been living away from home for almost 9 years for my studies, and currently study in a foreign country. I usually donโ€™t get much lonely and even if I, I get comfortable on remembering the Mother. But for sometime, I am getting too emotional on festivals such as today, which usually results in a fever and impacts my work. How should I deal with it?๐Ÿก๐Ÿ“๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿงธโ˜•

It is most likely the result of home-sickness arising out of loneliness. Certain circumstances and situations are typically associated in the mind with home or the place where one grew up. They remind us of the fact of being …
