These words of The Mother mean that after death, the disembodied vital experiences the play of the forces of vital world, some of which are of a hostile nature. They attack the vital sheath or the astral body in which the soul is traveling further. At this point of time if the departed person, still struggling in the vital sheath, senses an atmosphere of love and peace in someone it gets drawn there, like a bird caught in a storm looks for shelter. It rests there in the benevolent atmosphere of that person and then gathers strength to proceed further.
