The highest layer of the Overmind is a boundless finite, a movement of endless Time. It means that it can extend itself endlessly. That is why the universe keeps expanding. Into what, we may say? By finite is meant here that there are limits to its possibilities. That is why even the greatest god Brahma, the creator in the lower triple manifestation cannot grant everything. There are limits and conditions imposed by the cosmic arrangement that he too cannot bypass. The Supermind, on the other hand is absolute Omniscience and absolute Omnipotence. If fulfils its will regardless of every resistance. The Overmind has to struggle against the resistance whereas the Supermind uses the very resistance to fulfil it’s Will. It can do so because it has the complete truth of everything. The Overmind sees the different possibilities as equally true but the principle or the secret of their ultimate unity and harmony is missing. But neither of these bends to human caprice. The infinite Power of the Supermind acts on the basis of an infinite Truth that completely eludes and exceeds even our highest human intelligence and understanding.
