It is indeed God’s play. Whose else it would be? Nothing happens in the individual and collective life without a deep purpose. But to understand the play we have to get rid of the lens of personal desires, the distortions of the ego that divides everything into dualities of good and bad, right and wrong, favourable and unfavorable, fortunate and unfortunate.
The restlessness that we see in today’s children is because they have been infused with a new current of life like getting a shot of some new energy, the force of a New Creation. But as with all things that come into play for the first time these little sprouts are unable to handle it. Slowly they will adapt and instead of discarding it and falling back into the old comfort zones, they will evolve new and better ways of life, new and creative solutions to the problems that vex humanity. This is the process of adaptation of human nature to the new consciousness that is going on today.
As to sex etc, it is partly a catharsis of long repressed animal instincts. It is also a resetting of relationships, no more based on having had the physical contact or not but on something deeper and truer. The old world values gave too much importance to this aspect making a man-woman relationship and marriage almost centered around sexuality. The whole sanctity of marriage was as if dependent upon this. Today’s children are getting rid off it instinctively. It is a shift that is going on wherein sex is shifting from the centre, partly through over indulgence, partly through easy accessibility. But the basis of relationship is companionship of thought and aspiration rather than mating and having children. Like any tendency that rises before dropping off, sexuality is actually going to see a dropping off naturally in decades to come.
Affectionately,
