AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Alokda, its been 1.5 year since my dadi whom I was extremely close with passed away. After a very long time she came in my dream – called for me by my name and for some reason out of all in the house only I heard her and attend to her. She has a headache and I look after her and take her to the hospital for treatment- and after treatment she is fine but I dont remember seeing her fine but I get this deep feeling she is and I thank The Mother with all the love for looking after her. Later in morning as I woke up, did my routine but I woke up with a headache. Can you help me understand Alok Da?🕯️🕊️🥀🦋

In all likelihood something of her came in contact with you to rest for a few moments before the dissolution of the last remnants of the mental sheaths. It is a kind of bidding a final goodbye before she prepares for rebirth. Offer her to the Mother and pray for her to be freed from the remnants of this life and its attachments. Nothing more is needed.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

It is always good if one can remember the dreams even if one cannot Interpret them…

And when I see this play of ego, of pleasing the other person, and when one understands that one’s higher-up favours him/her, one feels good about that closeness. 💔😔🦋🌾[…]

It is wonderful that you are able to see the falsehood behind this kind of vital love of praise which is indeed a kind of falsehood. Yes it is everywhere and it takes a great degree of sincerity to be able to detect it. But now that by the effect of the Grace you are able to discern it, you must try to live only to please the Divine and that means …

It’s easier to think about aligning with God when idle, but harder in moments of real choice—especially when torn between comfort and asking, “What would God want me to do?” Acting with sincerity, enthusiasm, and self-forgetfulness, being a resource to others, and embodying cheerful equanimity feels like a truer way to connect with the Divine. Imagining Their presence and working for Them helps deepen that connection. 🫨🌼🦋[…]

The defects you enumerate are universal, though the extent and expression differs. Their root cause is ego, ignorance and desire which almost universally afflict all mankind. …
