Doing The Mother’s work is possible in several ways including while staying in the place where you presently live. One doesn’t need to come to Pondicherry or live in the Ashram to do The Mother’s Work. Besides it is not easy to live in the Ashram, not only financially but also psychologically.
I wish I had the resources to help everyone who wants to come and work for The Mother. But there is no such means at present. The Ashram does not accept anyone as an Ashram inmate if their child is admitted in the Ashram School. Coming here would mean finding a work for yourself to sustain yourself and the child. It is not easy. I understand the difficult situation you are in with regard to your husband but coming away to the Ashram is not a solution to it. You should face it with courage and ask for your legitimate rights. Involve your parents and near and dear ones. Relocating is never an easy task. It will only greatly increase your already burdened life.
