AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

When India is expected to lead the world in Spirituality, it is engaged in promoting Artificial Intelligence.ย Then what would be the future of humans now? How can humans be empowered in the age of AI? It is a query regarding the World AI Summit being organised by the Govt. Of India. ๐Ÿค–๐ŸŒป๐ŸŒ„๐Ÿฆ‹

AI is simply a tool. For good or for worse, it now has an important place in human progress and hence India cannot afford to fall behind. Lord Rama was taught the art of the most deadly weapons by Rishi Viswamitra as well as Vasistha. We need Shashtra as well as Shaastra, Philosophy as well as technology, Science as well as Spirituality and both must be used for the good of the world. This is where the role of India comes. It must not abandon AI but teach the world how to use it for the good and welfare of mankind, as King Prithu did. And for this, first we must discard the false division created in our mind between the Spiritual and the material. The material is the instrument, spirituality is the force and the wisdom, the guiding principle behind using things. If India must become the Vishwa guru, it must teach humanity, among other things, how to live a true and beautiful and divine life using rightly and for divine purposes all the resources and riches of the world. It is only a misunderstanding or a limited understanding that emphasises on the antagonism between material progress and spirituality. The spirituality of tomorrow will teach us how to use everything, including science and material forces, as instruments of a higher divine purpose.ย

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Alok da, I was going through this work by the philosopher Descartes called Rules for the Direction of the Mind. So much of this work is about how to better purify the various human faculties of sense perception, memory, judgment, imagination, etc., so that one can observe minute facts of nature with precision and without prejudiced universal presuppositions and arrive at a true universal knowledge, which is arrived at only after mastery of minute particulars. ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ”ฌ๐Ÿ“–๐ŸŒ„[…]

Certainly the Hindus knew the various means of purifying the mind and intelligence and, during the heydays of ancient India, the Vedic period and even much later, they did turn it both inwards and outwards. That is how they discovered such wonderful things which included plastic surgery, an elaborate pharmacopeia, warcraft and deadly weapons, principles of politics and administration, rules of mathematics and chemistry, linguistics and …

Sir, is whatever happens with us is always for our best? ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐ŸŒผ

The Mother has given a very beautiful and complete answer to this.

‘Is it really the best that always happens?… It is clear that all that has happened had to happen: it could not be otherwiseโ€”by the universal determinism it had to happen. But we can say so only after it has happened, not before. For the problem of the very best that can happen is an individual problem, whether the individual be a nation or a single human being; and all depends upon the personal attitude. If, in the presence of circumstances…
