There is a certain degree of internal freedom given to all human beings to take to the upward evolutionary curve or else the downward gravitation. But the upward evolution can be in the form of an escape from the world, Moksha, or a divine conquest and divine fulfilment of the world. India, under the spell of Mayavada, took the route of escape, which is beautiful and alluring, tempting and radical, offering a one-stop remedy to the problem of life. We rejected the Gita in heart and spirit, instead accepting the doctrine of Maya and withdrawal from earthly life. Hence India fell, not today, not yesterday, but for several hundred years. The liberated jivanmukta yogis that once governed India were replaced by world-shunning ascetics, sadhus and sannyasis who taught shunning the world as illusion and discarding it as a worn-out cloth. So India had to be woken up from this slumber of an artificial world-negating spirituality. The bombs of Mumbai and the attack on the Parliament, and even before that, the Chinese and the Pakistani aggression were all a wake-up call. Hopefully, we have woken up now and are ready to live the teachings of the Gita.
We must understand here that human evolution has been designed to take place through choices. It is our law of evolution. Of course, the Divine is there and always intervenes; He is always ready to respond to our call, but we have to do our bit. Else we would not grow conscious and remain like an AI robot, perfect and useful but unconscious and false, a machine like other machines.
But the change has begun, and a new India is rising before the world. The film and its success are a sign of this New India that is shunning the path of Mayavada and moving towards the truths of the Gita.
This is also after all the secret behind the law of karma as well. I may be a good human being, but weak in strength. Then I must face defeat. Strength, Shakti, is an aspect of God and he who rejects Shakti closes his doors to victory.
