AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

How can I stop my mom’s constant scolding and denial when I feel she won’t let small mistakes go? 👧🏼💔🙎🏼‍♀️😤🍃

Mumma is scolding me many times a day, and if once I did something that she thought I did wrong, she will not stop scolding me for small things after that, and then she says she doesn’t scold me in denial! What to do?

Yes, sometimes it does feel annoying when parents do not listen to the demands of the child and instead scold them. If you see carefully, the reason is not difficult to understand. It is simply because through learning and experience, parents know better than the child what is good for him. It is somewhat like the Divine and the Guru know what is good for us and what is harmful. So, due to a strong protective instinct that God has given them, parents always try to inculcate habits that will help the child grow up into a happy, healthy, strong and wise adult. This continues till adulthood, say between 18 to 21. After 21, parents become friends. They suggest, but leave the child free to accept or reject the advice, unless it is something very dangerous that the child, now grown into an adult, is engaged in. Then, after 70 or 75, the role is reversed and it is the turn of children to help them understand that some of the habits and practices of the parents might be wrong. If you see carefully, it is a very nice system meant to keep everyone happy and safe.

I am sure your mumma loves you more than anyone else can even imagine. Hence the bit of overprotectiveness. And yes, working a whole day, they too get tired and sometimes naturally expect that their child, whom they love so very much, understands and allows them the much-needed rest so that they too remain healthy and do not fall sick.

Affectionately,

What are your thoughts on homosexuality and whether it is essentially the same as sex between a man and a woman? 👨🏻‍🦱🌼👨🏻

Homosexuality (and its other aspect Lesbianism) have been known and accepted in ancient Greek as well as Hindu Society. It was considered a taboo, rather sinful mainly in the Islamic and Christian world. However these taboos didn’t prevent it from being secretly indulged. The only thing that this secret indulgence created was the …
