AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

These words from Mother resonate with me: “I am surrounded by people, even people considered great yogis—it is only with you that I can speak. So this isn’t to make you feel arrogant (!), it’s simply to tell you that obviously there is something there that can receive.”  that the essential point?🪷🌸🌍💗

There was a quality in Satprem that the “great” yogis of the ashram did not possess. One can be sattvic, have great qualities of mastery, and still miss that opening through which the light passes. Yes, Satrem, the one who truly loves, still suffered at times from what he had experienced in the camps. But there was something within him that could receive.

There is no problem if someone considers Satprem as the highest or even the only yogi ever. To each his own Master. The Mother said different things to different people. I have seen Her note in Pranab da’s diary something to this effect that you are leading us on the road to transformation. Regarding Champaklal ji She wrote ‘one of the hundred’, ‘he has become a demigod’. To Nolini da both The Mother and Sri Aurobindo wrote to the effect that he is ‘the candidate to the supermind’ that ‘if he is not doing my yoga then who else is?’

There are others too. How does it matter. What matters is our individual sincerity and surrender towards Her. As to Ashramites, I suppose Satprem and Sujata were all Ashram inmates till 1973 unless you have some other information which I do not have. I am neither criticising nor eulogising Satprem. Who am I to judge? To me all who served the Mother and Sri Aurobindo are respectable. The Mother has a right to say anything about them as each is Her child. But a child does not have the right to condemn his brother or sister based on what the Mother spoke in a certain context about some of the children. Absolutist statements in such matters are always suspect. But yes one is certainly free to follow Satprem and worship him if it helps. It doesn’t concern me. I can only state my position on the issue of the Yoga which is very simply, only Mother, no other.

With Her Love

Achilles didn’t exactly save the Greeks. He is no doubt the hero of the Trojan War as portrayed in the Iliad. Though the greatest of the warriors, idea of the Trojan horse was Odysseus’ brainchild. It is primarily his wise counsel as guided by goddess Athena, his strategies that secured the victory. ..

In the context of Sri Aurobindo’s and the Mother’s teachings, I have three questions regarding the future manifestation of Sri Krishna’s divine abode on earth. 🌏🦚😊🙏🏻🪷[…]

1. When the plane of Bliss, Anandamaya loka manifests here, as eventually it must some day, then it will not be exactly as there. If it were so there will be no need of creation at all. The bliss world created here through the process of evolutionary manifestation will be far more perfect. Each being will carry something of Krishna, will be krishnamaya. There ..

What was Mother’s view of classical music? I mean, were there composers that she believed could really be uplifting spiritually? I am interested, as it was around the turn of the 20th  century, in her young age and youth, that a coarser movement in music came to evolve. 🎶🎼😊🙏🏻🪷[…]

If we go through the writings of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother we shall see that they had a great regard for classical music. The Mother especially appreciated Beethoven and to an extent Mozart. She appreciated the music…
