AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

1. Does Divine Grace follow evolutionary laws/conditions, or can it fully transcend them when necessary? 😊🙏🏻🌻

The Divine Grace completely transcends all laws. That is how it came to Jagai Madhai, Ratnakar, Angulimal and others. This does not mean it obeys our wishes and acts in an arbitrary, fanciful ways. It has its own Divine Logic, a Divine Vision that sees things in totality. It is beyond the Cosmic Law and the Law of Karma. In fact, as the Mother put it, ‘The Divine Grace completely contradicts Karma’.

2. Why is evolution structured around relative freedom of human will at all?

Because without this relative freedom there will be no real entities but only toys or at best an instinct-driven animal creation. You can picture this as a child who is completely dependent upon parents for decisions. At some point, parents start giving a certain degree of freedom under supervision so that the child grows into adulthood. Our human phase is like that, while our true adulthood is a Divine Superhumanity. An increasing degree of freedom is needed to grow from Man to Superman.

3. If freedom is necessary, are suffering, error, and distortion inevitable parts of evolution?

Yes, inevitable consequences, just as failures, hurts, etc are part of the schooling process.

4. Why does the Divine permit prolonged hardship instead of intervening more directly, like protective human parents would?

Protective human parents create weak children who are incapable of taking on the challenges of life. Parents should be there when needed, but the real art and success of parenting is when the child is so equipped as he grows young that there is no need anymore for parental guidance; rather, the child enhances the name and glory of the parents.

5. Why is Divine intervention comparatively rare and indirect? Why not a constant Avataric presence with openly transformative power?

Because man does not want this. Human ego resists the Divine, or it wants the Divine only for the satisfaction of its petty desires. Hence the Divine often holds back His omnipotence until we are ready.

6. If human will has relative independence, what exactly is the role of prayer? Does it invoke Grace or align the individual with the Divine Will?

Prayer is one kind of human action that, like many other kinds of action, goes into the sum of human efforts.

7. If the Divine is omniscient, why does evolution outwardly appear gradual, conflict-driven, and trial-and-error based?

Because true evolution demands degrees of freedom; otherwise, we will only have perfect machines like AI and Robots not conscious living beings.

I ask these only to understand the evolutionary logic of Divine action more deeply.

Yes. Please feel free to ask more and more.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Alok Da, I often see my dead relatives in dreams, especially my grandparents and maternal uncle, who passed away 20, 12, and 6 years ago, respectively. Sometimes they look unhappy, sometimes worried about finances. 😥🙏🏻🌼🌌[…]

Seeing dead relatives generally means coming in contact with things buried in the subconscious mind. It could be fears, perceived needs, unhappy relationships. It has nothing to do with the actually dead. They have surely moved on.

Look into the past, the buried past and offer it to the Mother, through writing as a letter to Her,…

Alok da, recently online I’ve encountered this distinction, which is being referred to as scarcity vs abundance mindset. For example, being always anxious and fearful is supposedly a scarcity mindset, while being trusting is an abundance mindset. 🤔🌸🦋[…]

These are nothing else but intellectual e exercises indulged by people who are afraid of surrender or do not want to do it. It is the mind playing games with itself. It is the mind trying to create opposites and thereby compel one side, a better side no doubt, to compel the other. But the human mind cannot be conquered so easily by the ..

I want to come to the Ashram, but the circumstances are not favorable. Should we wait, as everything has its own time? Or does it depend solely upon us? 🏦🙄🙏🏻🪷

One should not precipitate things. Faith and surrender to the Divine Grace are the best inner state. Patience and learning to wait with a quiet aspiration growing steadily within are a wonderful help in reorganizing the circumstances. Thus one should keep growing in one’s aspiration until it becomes imperative to come and one …
