Blindness is symbol of Ignorance and the blind teacher is the mind which believes it knows whereas in reality it does not know. So you can see most human beings are in this state as they go through and face the examinations of life. If instead, they learnt to do their best using their discerning intelligence, surrendering themselves in the hands of the Divine Grace they would pass the tests of life much more easily.
