Yes, in a way. But that does not mean that the Divine is indifferent to our suffering. He knows it, knows its true cause and is offering the real cure. It is like a physician who empathises even when he gives a bitter medicine to heal. To use the image of a potter, He may strike us from outside while supporting with the other hand inside.

Q2. You mentioned that humanity resists a constant Avataric presence with openly transformative power. Why does human nature resist the Divine and persist in error in the first place? Also, why must sincere seekers wait upon the collective unreadiness?
Humanity resists because of getting into its familiar comfort zones even when it hurts. It is like the man not wanting to come out of his old familiar house and old associations even when they are impeding the progress. It is for this very reason, this interdependence and interconnectedness of everything, that the individual and collective evolution are interconnected.

Q3. Is the Divine’s “incalculable purpose” related to the Upanishadic expression: “I am One; let Me become many”. And is manifestation ultimately for the expression or sharing of Divine Delight (Ananda) through multiplicity?
Yes. The incalculable purpose is to build the Many out of the One, immortality out of mortal things, express infinity through the finite.
