AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

I’m able to practice, or at least try to practice, being a witness to happenings outside, but I’m not able to understand or try to be a witness to happenings inside me. Stepping back and not rushing to act is ok, but how do I be a witness to myself? ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ๐Ÿ”ฅ […]

I think I’m not able to separate my thoughts or feelings as something other than me. Would you kindly suggest some ways or practices I can follow for this, if any?

It comes by practice: the practice of watching over one’s thoughts and feelings, one’s will and impulses, most importantly, to dig out the hidden motive behind the apparent outer justification. It is difficult in the beginning because of insufficient light. Reason is a poor, ill-lit lamp in this regard. What is needed is to grow the torch-light of sincerity and the fire of true aspiration. As the flame of aspiration grows and mounts, we begin to get spontaneously detached from these habitual surface thoughts and reactions. After all, at some point we have to make a choice, a choice of what we truly value, – the temporary, transient satisfactions or the permanent Divine.ย

Affectionately,

Alok Da

What happens if we continue to explore and keep the vital connection and think of that only as love?ย If we enter into a relationship and marriage for gains/conveniences. Will the relationship evolve, or will we plummet? Is it very important to seek character?ย ๐Ÿ’—๐ŸŒฟ[…]

All depends upon the foundation of the relationship. If the basis is vital it is destined to crashland today or tomorrow. If instead there is some high mental idealism or a deep psychic touch then it may pull through everything and even grow eventually after the vital storms.
