Truth is the stable Divine basis, the fundamental, indestructible, unchanging Divine foundation of everything. That which can change or is subject to change, for example thoughts, feelings, impulses, etc are not regarded directly as Truth. At best, they may reflect something of the Truth behind the ever-changing appearances. More often it is a distortion introduced by the senses, perception, ego, desires priming the emotions and driving the thoughts.
Truth is however one aspect of the Divine. The other aspects are Consciousness, Force, Ananda. That is why the word used is Sacchidananda.
Light is one of the manifestations of the Divine. There is also sound or Rhythm, Harmony, Love, Peace, Beauty, Power and many others.
Each of the four foundational or fundamental aspects Truth or Existence, Consciousness, Force, Bliss turned into their opposites in creation. I have spoken about it in one of the talks. The Mother has explained this in the form of a story, the story of creation. The essence is that Truth became Falsehood, Consciousness turned into Unconsciousness, Force turned into helplessness, Bliss turned into complete insensibility, in short their complete opposite extremes much as someone becomes completely oblivious and forgetful in deep comatose sleep. Then he comes out towards wakefulness slowly step by step. And with this slow emergence layers of creation emerge, namely matter, life, mind and further on Supermind that is yet to emerge.
In this whole process, Falsehood opposes and imitates Truth. Thus it delays the emergence making it a slow deliberate process. Though it delays the emergence it also makes the process much more complete and perfect through the opposition so that nothing is left out in the end.
Man, if he wants to collaborate and hasten the evolutionary process must discover the truth within him, not only the static Divine basis but also the Divine Will, and act in alignment with this Divine Will. If instead he sides with the forces of falsehood, then he is eventually opening his doors towards destruction. Falsehood being a distortion of Truth, cannot sustain itself forever. Truth is the original Power and not falsehood.
Affectionately,
Alok Da
