AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

I am 19 years old. I have a question. I am reading the Divine Life of The Mother and Sri Aurobindo and I feel that the deep ocean of their lives, which they spent as Avatars on Earth, can never truly be exhausted or brought to an end. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐ŸŒผโค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ”ฅ๐ŸŽฌ[…]

I have a deep desire to do something for The Mother and Sri Aurobindo, but I know that no one can truly help me except The Mother and Sri Aurobindo, which is why a feeling has arisen in my heart that I want to bring Sri Aurobindo’s life to the screen as a film. (Flim short explanation- flim start in the last battle of Rani laxmi bai and the Decline of Sanatana Dharma, The rise of British ampire and The Supreme take birth Sri Aurobindo (birth moment) Sri Aurobindo brought to England for study and Lotus and dagger secret society in 1892, Coming of Sri Aurobindo after the study in England, His Divine marriage life, his life and work in boroda, His Divine rule in the freedom struggle, And Krishna lila in Alipore jail, Coming to pondichery, The mother first meeting with Sri Aurobindo and start world war 1 and The Epic rule of Sri Aurobindo in Second world war and Coming of Supermental in Sri Aurobindo body. If I can miss anything else, please remember sir, This is the short talk. I have a big Divine vision of this Epic in my heart)

Sir, I know that the world is not yet fully ready to listen to or witness this grand Epic of Sri Aurobindo’s life, but I don’t understand, or I want to know how I can find a solution to the dilemma and the emotions I am experiencing about bringing his life story to the silver screen. Please guide me.

I can understand that you are deeply moved by Sri Aurobindo and his life and wish to make a film on him. I am not questioning the resources and the possibilities of doing so, as it is a huge task. If you feel deeply moved and inspired, you should try something along these lines.

As to the content, very few films have touched upon the life of Sri Aurobindo after his coming to Pondicherry. Your outline of the major events is good, but there are many other elements and aspects that would need to be brought out. Each of them would require a thorough dealing. There are aspects such as the formation of the Ashram, Writings during the pre-Pondicherry days, the Arya, the legacy, such as the Centre of Education and Auroville, the Supramental Manifestation and the role of India are all extensions of His life and works. It is too many-sided to be dealt with in completeness.ย

My suggestion will be to equip yourself, do extensive reading, such as Rishabhchand’s book on Sri Aurobindo, Twelve Years by Nirodbaran. Besides, the life of Sri Aurobindo cannot be complete without The Mother’s. That is an even vaster subject.ย

At the same time, do not ignore your studies, as things upon earth do not grow in a vacuum. One needs resources, earning and talent and the technical knowledge to make films. Mere idea is not enough.ย

Anyways these things cannot be discussed over email alone. Will be happy to meet you when you come to Pondicherry. Then we could discuss.

May The Mother guide you.

Affectionately

Alok da

Listening to your talks, I wonder if humanityโ€™s current psychological turmoil stems from the pressure of the Supramental descent forcing hostile vital forces to cling more desperately to earthโ€”much like Arjunaโ€™s Visada Yoga at the start of his transformation. ๐Ÿค”๐ŸŒ๐Ÿซจ๐ŸŒพ[…]

If one were to summarise it in one sentence then one can say, in the deepest mystic sense, that the world has forgotten the Divine and suffers because of that. Instead, the average human being has not only turned away…

It will depend upon the mantra as well as the wish, desire or aspiration, as it may be, in the heart of the sadhak. There are mantras that do grant material happiness as well as wisdom. So it is perfectly possible to get these benefits through specific mantras. At the …

Respected Alok da, when you realised Maa is everything and in everything. Then, if you go for Puja Rituals like Brata-Upabasha according to Hindu Dharma (you see Mother in every Gods), then is that insincerity to Maa? Should I do it or not? ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ›•๐ŸŒธ

As far as I am concerned everything else dropped naturally, effortlessly. I was anyways not much into rituals and knew that many of these things are aadambar and have little to do with Hindu Dharma. Neither the Gita nor the…
