But the doubtful thing is, I have schizophrenia ( it happened because I tried hallucinogens and marijuana in college and a friend gave a wrong dose once); now I am on a minimum dosage of medication and am stable. From past 2.5 years I have been well due to medication, once I also was on remission for 4 months. I am able to function well and work also. So this is not a problem. But sometimes I get very confused about whether the assurance I get is from the psychic being or some kind of voices created by my mind.
I have heard that there are a lot of vital and mental forces and energies and it is very difficult to pick the correct voice. My question is: how do I know it’s the psychic being and not some vital/mental voice?
Also, when I stayed in the ashram guest house and visited the ashram regularly for a week, the area near my left chest got very receptive, so I believe it is the psychic. I can not even talk to my therapist about the psychic being because he might not be aware of it.
The most important thing is the needed purification and inner concentration on the Divine Mother. Call Her Name with love. Sadhana is not a mental exercise but a living journey towards the Divine. Meanwhile, read Sri Aurobindo and The Mother regularly and if questions arise, then feel free to ask.
The psychic being brings love and surrender to The Divine Mother. It also brings inner peace and joy. Visions and Voices are not the main thing. They come from the subliminal being. The psychic being brings peace and bhakti, faith and surrender mainly.
Affectionately,
Alok Da
