Another question is you have said that Krishna’s avatar was to teach us how to live life with freedom and Sri Aurobindo’s purpose to show us the path of Transformation.
The Vedas as well as the Gita reveals to us that there is a double nature in man. One is the present human nature that is the product of our material and animal evolution. But there is another, a higher divine nature of which the human is a possible candidate. Truth, Harmony, Peace, Beauty, Delight, Strength are aspects of the Divine Nature which can be acquired by the persistent practice of aspiration, rejection (of the animal tendencies), surrender to the Divine Mother.
Sri Krishna showed us the way to be liberated inwardly from the strong grip of animal and human nature and its distortions.
To discover, bring down and express this higher Divine Nature in man, not only deep within but on the surface and outer life itself is transformation. This is the work taken up by Sri Aurobindo and The Mother.
Affectionately
