AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Following a period of intense determination to realize the psychic being, I experienced a severe week-long physical illness accompanied by three distinct outer trials. 🕊️🙏🏻 […]

First, an elderly professor visited and aggressively attacked my path, mocking my spirituality and pushing rigid caste-based ambitions, which triggered an inner impatience and a disruptive, imaginary debate within me. Second, my father persistently advocated for the professor and continually mocks my spiritual focus, reinforcing a painful sense of isolation from family and society’s deep-rooted falsehoods.

I feel these simultaneous events were a coordinated hostile attack meant to derail me just as I am preparing to gain independence and visit the Ashram. I am deeply grateful to the Mother for revealing my inner vulnerabilities through this chaos, but I urgently need your guidance on how to protect my inner flame against such pervasive hostility and whether the Mother spoke of humanity actively resisting this blossoming spiritual change.

I am glad you shared all this at some length. Such is the nature of this world. It pays a lip service to God, but in reality it is only at the service of its ego. Beautiful and genuine human beings like you are rare, though this type is increasing more and more, which fills the earth with hope. I am glad you took all this in the right way and did not allow yourself to be carried away by the attacks; rather, you kept your calm and turned everything to strengthen the aspiration and increase the surrender.

What you experienced are tests generally, by the adverse forces. When these tests come, it is best to remain inwardly quiet, practice equanimity, offer the whole thing to the Mother and grow in sincerity. Meanwhile, pray to the Mother and be full of faith. Yes work, study and prepare yourself for the Divine Work. Being financially independent is important and I am sure The Mother will take care of you and pull you out through everything and bring you near Her inwardly and outwardly too.

May Her Grace surround and protect you. 🪷

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Homosexuality (and its other aspect Lesbianism) have been known and accepted in ancient Greek as well as Hindu Society. It was considered a taboo, rather sinful mainly in the Islamic and Christian world. However these taboos didn’t prevent it from being secretly indulged. The only thing that this secret indulgence created was the …

I understand your inner dilemma. But often it is better to tell the person that he is being hurtful rather than keep the anguish inside. Expressing yourself honestly, firmly, though not rudely or in anger, is the little inner change that is needed. It will help you and might…
