Given that Goloka is a purely sat-cit-ananda realm free from disease or violence, what is the divine purpose of medicine, and how should we understand animal contests in a realm of pure harmony? Could you please clarify how these specific arts function spiritually in the Lord’s supreme abode?
Goloka is described beautifully in great detail in Savitri Book Two Canto Three. Yes, there is no disease and suffering there. Yet it is the origin of the 64 forms of knowledge, Vidya. These forms of knowledge have their origin in Goloka since it is the world of Bliss and Light (Go means Light), from which all kinds of different knowledge emerges as streams from the mountain peaks. These are gifts for mankind and not for the in-dwellers in that realm.
It is sports that is being described, not violent events.
Affectionately
Alok Da
