Whenever you have the time, could you please guide me a little about what occultism means in the context of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother’s teachings, and how one should understand it?

Occult simply refers to a whole hidden dimensions of life, the layers of creation whose forces act from within and around upon us. To put it most simply our thoughts and feelings, impulses and will, hope and desires, aspiration and ambitions impact upon us as well as on life around us. But what we call as individual thoughts, feelings, etc are part of a larger collective consciousness that are differentiated along many planes.
