AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Last night, I had another dream. A person was with me, and there was a snake coiled up asleep; I am not entirely certain, but it seemed to have golden dots on it. The person told me to kill the snake. I asked, “It is sleeping peacefully; what is the point of killing it?” They insisted I kill it anyway. ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿฆš […]

So, I struck the snake; it fell, and its skin seemed to flatten or stick to the ground, but it didn’t dieโ€”it came back to life. Then, a voice said, “You shouldn’t have killed it; it has been asleep for thousands of years.” It woke up and suddenly lunged at me. I was frightened, yet I felt a powerful surge of energy. I woke up, and for about twenty seconds after waking, that energy seemed to linger, though I felt no fear.

Apart from thatโ€”though the images aren’t entirely distinct, more like impressionsโ€”I see things as if in a waking state: Two elephants running, sometimes an impression of a peacock, and at times, a deer?

Yes, all these dreams and impressions rise because of you are open to the occult and inner dimension. It is a kind of capacity that some have.ย

The snake in the dream doesn’t seem to be harmful. It is some kind of an energy that was lying dormant in the vital world that has woken up. Elephants represent strength whereas peacocks represent victory.ย

May you grow in inner strength and Her Victory be established in you.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

ย It is clearer now. I didn’t know that vital love could also be considered great. I have not watched the Odyssey yet.ย However, after listening to your talk, I watched Troy (2004) out of curiosity. The way the relationships were portrayed felt very vital, except for Hector’s and his wife’s relationship.โค๏ธ๐Ÿ“– […]

Ram and Sita, Krishna and Radha or for that matter Arundhati and Vasistha, Anusooya and Atri, even Mandodari the wife of Ravana are unparalleled in the example of ideal love they have placed before us. I am completely in sync with the thought that Indian characters are uncomparable in their spiritual greatness and idealism.ย …
