Our ancestors were truly great in depth as well as height. They went to the extreme limits of everything, for which they were ready to renounce and sacrifice everything. Most of the great ones from the Western world seem, in front of the heroes of the Ramayana and the Mahabharata, rather restless and dwarfed because of the stark absence of the spiritual touch that changes everything. That, of course, is non-replicable.
