The Mother and Sri Aurobindo have written a lot about what happens after death. There are a number of talks on the subject on AuroMaa. Very briefly, most of the karmic energies get thrown out in the atmosphere and enter those who are susceptible for some reason. Others get dissolved in the vital worlds as one passes through them. Only a few strong, inveterate tendencies and those unfinished karmic curves needed for our further evolution pass on to the other lives as materials to be worked upon and experiences to be yet gained.
