Nowadays, since last few years, birthday visits to Sri Aurobindo’s room are not allowed. But there is a special meditation for birthday persons around the Samadhi at 11:30 AM. The birthday card is given after the meditation. One has to give one’s name for the birthday meditation the same day in the morning at the Ashram gate reception.

2. How should one spend a birthday in Pondicherry to make the best use of Mother’s energy, and how should one’s day be planned?

One should spend the birthday in quietude and reading something in the room.

We must not presume that all that happens in the world is the direct result of the Divine Will. By praying and offering to The Mother we can ensure that the work becomes a means for our inner progress. However we should not assume that all that comes to us is the result of the Divine Will. Things come from concealed desires, subconscious pulls, karmic transactions and other subtle factors.
