When I read other chapters, sometimes I start to dwell on it intellectually. So, I feel that I don’t need to know why or how anything happens, but instead just offer everything with trust without needing to think or know, as this will enable the spirit of surrender to grow and gradually take up everything. Is this a good approach?
Previously, I used to love to read all the text from the ashram publications, but these days I just want to remember the Mother and live every moment as an offering, and the reading is significantly reduced, except for Divine Mother’s descriptions and certain parts of Savitri. This need for reading is replaced by taking the Mother’s name, prayers for the earth and all living things in it, aspiring for her grace to transform all things and everything to be hers and how she wants it to be. There is an unshakable calm, quietude and increasing love for her within. The need to talk or share about their works is also decreasing. The ease with which I used to read is just not there anymore; it instead seems to have changed to more aspiration.
This is a beautiful change, a shift from the seeking for knowledge to bhakti and surrender and psychic love for the Divine Mother. What else would one need or want? It is the royal key to everything else.
Affectionately,
Alok Da
