AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

Bhaiya, in the passage from Luminous Words it is written-“the Overmind is far below the true Divine”. Sri Krishna is the Overmind Godhead so does it mean that He is far below the true Divine? What is the difference between Overmind plane and the plane of true Divine? In which plane does true Divine dwell🤨?

Sri krishna is the Godhead of the Overmind means that in his human incarnation he has taken his station at the Overmind. It does not mean that he is not the true Divine much as Lord Rama in his human incarnations taking his place at the Illumined Mind becomes lesser than Sri krishna. Take for example different teachers teaching different classes or even one teaching in a school and the other in the college may have studied in the same university. Yet they have different work stations. So too Sri krishna in his supreme personality is the Purushottama just as Rama and all other Avatars are. As a Godhead in his origin he is Anandamaya manifesting the Bliss of the Divine Sacchidananda and dwells in the eternal Goloka in the World of Bliss, Anandadham. As the Divine incarnation he took his station at the Overmind since humanity was then ready for only this further. As a representative of the evolutionary element in creation he is the leader to carry humanity upto the Overmind. After all the fact that he is not the last Avatar and as per his own statement ‘sambhavami yuge yuge’ he himself declares that he will come again and naturally surpass himself. The incarnations do not see these things as a matter of personal ego or high and low since they are all conscious of their same Divine Origin.

The Divine is at every plane and everywhere but in the lower creation of which we are a part (Mind, Life and Body) He works from behind the veil He has spun around by His Yogamaya. In the higher creation which starts from the Supermind onwards He is without the veil. The true Divine means that the vision is

Also it is written-“The cosmic Gods do not wholly live in the Truth-Consciousness”.These Gods with capital G also do not wholly live in the Truth-Consciousness.What does it mean?Which Gods are they?

This is well known and all mystics say so. One of the seers of the Upanishad says that ‘men are the cattle of the gods’. Kabir says that Maya deludes even the trinity. These Gods with a capital G are the first four direct emanations from the One Supreme each representing one of the four aspects of the Supreme Sacchidananda. Sat or Existence or Brahma, Chit or consciousness or Vishnu, Tapas or force or Shiva, Ananda or bliss or Krishna are the four main Gods. By the very fact that they assume each a distinct place, power and function they have to put behind them the other aspects and hence get cut off from the total Truth. Of course they can recover it at will but in their normal functioning they act as if quite independent of the others. That is why you will see both Brahma ji and Shiv ji granting some impossible boons to the Asuras that have to be subsequently managed by Vishnu ji and Sri krishna.

This does not mean that the Gods are some small beings. The original Gods are certainly formidable and powerful and do a lot of good through their benevolence. But one should not take them as the Ultimate Supreme who is far beyond.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

I am still not sure how to deal with my libido. As a young male, I occasionally experience extremely strong sexual desire. I am not in a relationship, I don’t masturbate or watch porn. I tried following some of your advice, such as exercise, breathing, creative expression, etc. It helped me enormously. But still there are times in which I just get completely submerged in lustful thoughts and overpowering desires. During such times I cannot sleep in the night and just crave sex intensely. When such states come, my mind starts telling me that I should just find somebody with whom I could have regular sex so that I don’t feel this agony😟, [conti]

What helps handling these strong sexual impulses is to stay as busy as one can be, especially with a work that can be done in the Mother’s service. The other thing is to do…
