Implanting error in the stuff of things
It made an Ignorance of the all-wise Law;
It baffled the sure touch of lifeβs hid sense,
Kept dumb the intuitive guide in Matterβs sleep,
Deformed the insectβs instinct and the bruteβs,
Disfigured manβs thought-born humanity.

There are beautiful insects such as butterfly, honey bee and many others. It is the intrusion of the vital world influenced by falsehood that has created insects like the fly, mosquito, etc., that are used as vehicles for the adverse forces to throw diseases.
Similarly, the brute following the natural instincts like the ape is primitive but not evil. It is the influence of these dark worlds that drives the brute towards evil ways of life, filling the world with horror, carnage and needless suffering and pain.
