AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

You have beautifully answered on the question asked on The marriage like keeping God in the centre, meeting with life challenges with power of love, supporting each other and serving the divine purpose but these things which you said seems out of our scope. We lack surity, conviction and unclear about our goals. If we don’t have such beautiful ideals so is it wiser to avoid Marriage😐? Please guide.

They are not out of our scope. What is lacking is faith and courage, faith that nothing is impossible once something in us glimpses it as an ideal to be followed, and, the courage to go through whatever is needed to fulfil it.

As to marraige, in fact for anything in life, it is best not to make any absolute rules. Those who keep the ideal in front grow towards it through everything. Even a failed or painful marraige can make a soul marked for a higher life. Whereas those who may not be holding an ideal before them may actually end up having a seemingly happy married life, outwardly so to say, yet a life lived on the surfaces. No doubt trying to live an Ideal generates a kind of stress on the person who strives for it as well as on those who are near him. The chances of being misunderstood are high. Hence the qualifier does hold good for many that if you are striving for a higher life then think 50 times before you marry. And if one does, there should be a basic harmony of the ideal, a sympathy if not the same aspiration.

Affectionately,

Alok DA

This seems to be a wave of depression that is trying to catch you, partly because of the loneliness as you don’t seem to have a good friend to share your issues and troubles. Partly it is because of lack of clarity about a goal. Aimlessness often opens the doors to fears.

Thank you for your guidance. Through recent reflection, I realized my struggles stemmed from a lack of true sincerity—reacting from superficial judgments, unnecessary fear, and wavering faith rather than seeing things with humility and patience. 🌱🔥🌸🙏[…]

To recognize the insincerities is itself a great step forward towards sincerity. Most people, even in the Yoga or so they believe, are unable to see their own hidden insincerities. It is indeed a Grace and the sign of the true spiritual life growing in you.
