AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

I would like to share something strange I have noticed over the years. Sometimes when I look at certain people, they give me the impression of a particular animal. πŸ‘―β€β™€οΈπŸ‘₯πŸ™†β€β™‚οΈ[…]

Something of it shows in their body language, behaviour and even in their faces. It is not just me who has noticed this, but also other people. I have been compared to a rabbit by many different people, even the elderly. I have heard that we live as animals before the human life begins, but I’m not sure if it has anything to do with it. I would like to understand if there is any truth behind this.Β

It is true that our body carries certain imprints of the animal consciousness within us. This does add to the shaping of the body because there is indeed a subtle correspondence between the form and the consciousness that inhabits it. Each animal corresponds to some quality that Nature tries to reproduce in the animal world through its forms.

It does not, however, mean that the person is like that animal. It simply means that perhaps, if the impression is correct, the person carries some characteristic trait of the animal. Rabbit, for example, indicates prudence.Β

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Dear Da, I’m a single child. I always have this question: why don’t I have a sibling with whom I can share things? Also, my parents have a greater realisation of the Divine, so whenever I try something out of spirituality or try to get mixed with society, they get to know things from within and always doubt my intentions and try to keep me under their influence. πŸ˜’πŸŒΈπŸ‘¨πŸ»β€πŸ‘©πŸ»β€πŸ‘§πŸ»β€πŸ‘¦πŸ»πŸƒ[…]

I want to know if The Mother refers to Sri Aurobindo as ‘Lord’? And so, when They say, the aim of life is to know the Divine and unite with It, do they mean to know the Lord and unite with Him? So, do we look to know Sri Aurobindo and The Mother as the Divine, and unite with Them by offering ourselves to Them integrally? I am curious how you understand this and practice this aim of Life. πŸ˜ŠπŸ™πŸ»πŸͺ·β€οΈβ€πŸ”₯
