AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER

Sir, what is the difference between Rajayoga, Gita’s Yoga, and Integral Yoga? πŸ§˜πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈπŸ˜ŠπŸ™πŸ»πŸͺ·

Rajayoga is, in its essence, control of the mind and its energies, just as hathayoga is a control of the body and the life energies. Once controlled, they can be directed towards the state of Samadhi or a complete absorption of the individual consciousness into the Supreme Soul, Paramatma. Its ultimate aim is to pass out of worldly existence into Moksha, an annulment of the individual soul into the Divine.Β

The Yoga of the Gita is to be in a living communion with the Supreme Being, Purushottama, while fully engaged in the world and all its activities. Its path is a giving up of our entire being, – thought, emotions, will, actions into God through constant remembrance and offering of all we are and do to the Divine. Its goal is to be a Jivanmukta, a state of inner freedom and delight even while actively engaged in the life of the world.

The integral Yoga, or the Supramental Yoga, is the yoga of Divine Life upon earth through an integral opening and surrender to the Divine Mother in her present supramental incarnation. Its goal is the transformation of individual and collective life into a Life Divine, here upon earth. It includes Moksha or freedom from ignorance or Self knowledge as well as the realisation of the state of Jivanmukta, an inner freedom while engaged in life and all its activities. But it goes beyond that. It is not limited to the liberation of the soul from its present state of ignorance through Self Knowledge, but also includes the liberation of nature from its present imperfect state into the Perfection of the Divine Supernature.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Identification is extremely rare. It means knowing something or someone inside out. It is not pity or kindness or even sympathy. It is to become the one with whom one identifies.Β
