AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

What I perceive about my mother asking for money is to have total control and total possession of my money so as to feel secure herself- which is also a means to prove my sincerity and submission as a child towards her 😠 [conti]

When I chose to send her 25k instead, she became infuriated and told i am showing off my money and doing as if charity in return of her age long service to me since birth (playing the mother card) and started verbally abusing me by saying that I am going to spend the rest of money upon partying and drinking (where as she too knows I never do that, but only thing is I stay have a few friends whom she doesn’t like out of her baseless pre conceptions, moreover they themselves never party or drink)

She again started comparing me with relatives sons who have gone abroad and have forgotten their Indian parents or have abandoned them in old age homes.

All this is very draining and I don’t like to talk to her anymore. Nor do i feel any affection from her.

Yes i can understand and the more you will concede to her, the more she will demand because greed can never be satisfied and fears of insecurity can never be removed by money. You will need to draw a red line for your good and her. Trying to win her approval by giving money will only feed her greed further.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

First about the facts. Mr Sonam Wangchuk is not inspired by Sri Aurobindo. There is nothing even remotely common between him and Sri Aurobindo whose name he has used as if he is going through a similar process. It …

“There is no criterion, but one can easily distinguish if one is in the inward condition, not sleep, in which most visions take place, by the nature of the impression made. A vision in a dream is more difficult to distinguish from a vivid dream-experience but one gets to feel the difference”- from Letters of Yoga. Alok Da, can you please explain the last line written by Sri Aurobindo? 🌄

A vivid dream experience is generally of a symbolic nature that reveals a deeper truth through the sign language of dreams. A vision, on the other hand is an…
