AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Pranam Alokda. Till the time one realises their Psychic Being and start to live a ‘truly spiritual’ life, as the Mother states, and can truly start to live the ideal of a ‘Divine Worker’ as stated in the Essays on the Gita, what’s the best and most practical everyday psychological attitude that can be consistently adopted in aspiration for an ideal state like that of a Divine worker where one directly receives command from the Divine and carries it out in the true spirit of Gita. πŸ˜ŠπŸ™πŸ»πŸŒ»β€οΈβ€πŸ”₯πŸŒ„

It is difficult to receive direct command from the Divine until one has made a living contact with the psychic being. What one can, however, receive are subtle indications, soft promptings, gentle whispers, or deep inspiration in the depths of the heart. But even for this, one must practice inner quietude and establish peace and equanimity within oneself. Fixity of opinion, strong preferences, push of ambition and desires veil the guidance or distort what is received. That is why it is necessary to first lay a proper ground of inner Peace and Equanimity, practice of inner Remembrance of the Mother and offering all one’s actions to Her in the spirit of Nishkaam Karma. If done with sincerity, slowly the veil thins out and it becomes easier to receive the inner guidance.Β

Until then, it is good to make decisions using the discerning intellect, buddhi, as to the right thing or the best thing to be done under the existing circumstances as life presents to us and then, offer the decision to the Divine Mother, leaving the result in Her hands with complete trust and confidence.Β

As to the right attitude, equanimity and surrender are the best. At the same time, one should cultivate wideness and plasticity to alter course if necessity arises as situations evolve. The Divine Guidance itself takes these things into account, given the complexity of the World-play and our own nature that keeps throwing up new surprises.Β

Affectionately,

Alok Da

It seems like some soul that got in active contact with you wanting to be born through you. Could be some link from the past. However that is not possible now so best is to offer to the Mother and leave it at that.Β
