It began with the prolonged illness and eventual passing of my father, and has since deepened with ongoing family responsibilities, including supporting my elder sister and her child after her divorce. Despite working with full sincerity, I find myself overwhelmed by debts and pressure from loans taken during my father’s illness. A few repayments have been missed, and legal notices have started arriving.
Through it all, I’ve tried to hold on to faith — in the Mother, in Sri Aurobindo, and in the path they have shown us. But there are moments when I feel lost, and it is in such a moment that I turn to you, Alok Da. Your words and presence have often given clarity to many seekers — and I find myself seeking the same today. I am seeking only for your direction, your blessing, and perhaps your insight into how I may walk through this phase with strength, surrender, and trust in the Divine.
The best course always is to accept God’s Will rather than try forcing destiny due to some attachment. Taking loans is never a good idea and it is best to live within the means given to us. It is also important to understand that money cannot change destiny. But now that the loans have been taken, it has opened another difficult passage for you. Nevertheless, there is no difficulty through which one cannot navigate with faith in the Grace. But this should be a lesson learnt that we should not commit or act irresponsibly without reflecting upon the possible consequences.
Anyways it is a hard lesson learnt not to act under the stress of sentiments. The best thing is to slowly go on clearing what you can, or else to truthfully express your inability to pay back given your financial situation. Meanwhile, cut down the expenses and try that your sister gets a job to take care of at least her own and your nephew’s basic maintenance. Also, some additional part-time work will help further.
Pray to Her and I will join in your prayer. But recognise the error, which helps in mitigating the consequences.
