AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

As you said you are aware of my gurudev so may I ask your inner feelings and guidance on transformation of human being by sidh yoga. May you throw light on this as straight as possible 🤔

Generally it is not good to disturb anyone’s faith. To each his own journey. However impersonally speaking if one has to take up a yoga, any yoga for that matter should one not practice it according to the guidance of the Master who gave it. Fortunately we have so many writings of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother directly on the subject which i would rather advice people to follow rather than anyone else, however great, as far as this yoga is concerned. Rest is a question of individual choice. Here is what Sri Aurobindo himself writes about this yoga.

‘There is no method in this Yoga except to concentrate, preferably in the heart, and call the presence and power of the Mother to take up the being and by the workings of her force transform the consciousness; one can concentrate also in the head or between the eyebrows, but for many this is a too difficult opening. When the mind falls quiet and the concentration becomes strong and the aspiration intense, then there is a beginning of experience. The more the faith, the more rapid the result is likely to be. For the rest one must not depend on one’s own efforts only, but succeed in establishing a contact with the Divine and a receptivity to the Mother’s Power and Presence.’

So simple and so direct. The only way to succeed in this yoga is to open to Sri Aurobindo’s influence and the Mother’s. Of course one is always free to take any other paths or follow any other Master if one feels drawn. But one should not confuse it with Sri Aurobindo’s yoga.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Regarding the Four Aspects of the Mother, Alok da, I sense a parallel in Sri Aurobindo’s evaluation of various poets in which they excel and in which they lack. Poets like Keats have a lyrical sweetness and beauty but lack vital power and raw force, which a poet like Browning has. 📜✒️😊🙏🏻🪷[…]

Yes. Not only in poetry as you have rightly pointed out, but in everything, in the least atom and grain of sand one can see the working of the four aspects and the Knowledge and Power of the Divine Mother hidden behind it. ..

Today evening while meditating on mother’s organ music on fairy dance, firstly I saw a living mountain having two big eyes and it was seeing all around with those eyes and then a number appeared again and again in that vision it is a number 349 what does it’s means sir.

The living mountain is the physical consciousness under the influence of the Psychic aspiration. 349 perhaps means the 3 lower and 4 higher planes that are embedded or involved within the physical consciousness represented by number 9. The dream implies that your physical consciousness is open to the Divine Influence.
