AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Is our purpose in life merely to please our parents by doing whatever they ask? When we don’t meet their expectations, they often say, “You have made us unhappy,” or “Because of you, we are suffering.” They emphasize ideas like, “You must keep your parents happy, you will never find happiness if you make them unhappy,” and regard parents as equivalent to gods. Even for someone who is not pursuing a spiritual life, is it necessary to always prioritize pleasing parents? When they don’t understand your path, your goal and say things like these, what should one do?

If the purpose of life was to please parents, elders or anyone else then the Gita would be meaningless. The purpose of life is not

Yesterday I was just laid on my bed looking at the ceiling listening to music. And I was just thinking of Mother Her Sweetness. I had my eyes open and whilst the music was playing I went into this state of just inexplicable distance. Still with eyes open, I saw a majestic, cosmic, energy with colours I can’t really name. But like a mix of orange and yellow but very subtle colours not powering or crude to the “eyes” (eyes open I don’t know how to explain). Then there were two parts to me. One who was witnessing what’s about to happen and one part of me partaking.

It is a very rare Grace, an experience of the Divine Mother in Her cosmic aspect and the psychic being (the tiny part which is

Each god has two functions related to we humans :-1) In religious sense they are supreme since they can fulfill any legitimate wish to lead a good life but in ignorance. 2) In spiritual sense they are just different aspects of the supreme managing the creation but can be taken as door through which one can pass over to the supreme. Am I understood correctly?

Yes, but with a slight correction. In the religious sense, each god cannot or would not fulfil all the wishes. For example Saraswati can give

As I am Srimad Ramayanam, Srimad Bhagavadam, definitely they give a clear insights about Divine qualities different and higher  than  even Satwic, or ascetic qualities,we come across among Great kings and Rishis, Tapaswins. So personally for me reading SriRama, Srikrishna, Kapila, Vamana , all  very helpful in understanding SriAurobindo’s  evolution theory of Man into Divine. Secretaly every body cherishes to be like SriRama , MotherSita , but feel it’s impossible, so self contented with reading about them, meditating on them, we close the book। But SriAurobindo gives a different dimension to our thoughts that even I can become a Perfect Part of The Divine Lord Rama or The  Divine Mother Sita , embracing some divine qualities from them.

Yes these books help nourish our psychic parts until we are ready to undertake the journey and become what we presently hardly understand.

Many atheists are living happier lives than theists. At least that is what I think. Believers seek help from divine forces to live a happy life, while atheists live their lives on their own strength and do not take any help from divine powers. Why is this so? Is the concept of divine powers an illusion or are human efforts more powerful than the power of a deity🤔?

But who said that atheists are happier. None is happy upon earth except one who has mastered his ego and conquered his desires, – believing

I had a dream last night I saw that I have board a  very very fast moving train 🚅and we are going to some place which we don’t know but seems like a place like there was too much crime and chaos, everything is fine we sat down, then suddenly everybody in the train was asked to came in between the walking area between seats of the train away from the windows, I was surprised why we are asked to do so…someone told me it’s going to a place like Bihar and we want that nobody gets to see that there are people inside this train…I could not see people outside the train as it was moving with full speed…but they said there are people outside and they may attack us..so people inside the train stood in between the path of the train.

The extremely fast train is the vital aspects of Nature under whose influence or impulse we often move. This is disorienting and confusing especially as

Can you explain to me the difference between brain🤯 and mind ? Can you rationally explain the existence of something beyond the physical organ. To me it seems obvious that everybody is different because of genetic makeup, their environment etc. but Roshni is saying there is something beyond brain that operates and tried to explain but I can’t see the logic in it nor understand what she’s trying to explain it’s too complex.

That things, even material things exist beyond the limits of the senses is well known, isn’t it. The universe is teeming with very small objects

Alok Sir, It is almost 14 years when I just read something very little about Gangadharan (The Disciple of Mother and Sri Aurobindo) in one Magazine published by Vedmurti Sri Ram Sharma Acharya (Shantikunj), Since that time I was extremely attracted and fascinated for his simplicity and devotion towards Mother and Sri Aurobindo, just one day before I knew something more about him and his Writings ( Sri Aravinda Ashtothara Shatha Namavali) 108 names of Sri Aurobindo. 1- History about writing these names🪷.

There is no history as such though The Golden Chain did carry a piece on him, long back. These names appeared to him in his
