AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Can you please advise what to do with the over  use of mobile phones? Adults are on their phones, children are, it seems that’s the only thing people do these days is constantly be on their phone, What is the solution?

The only way to get rid of this disease of ‘mobilitis’ is to draw clear lines for oneself as well as for family to follow. For example set up screen time limits for children. Explain to them the problems of excessive indulgence with mobile and if they are unable to follow, take the mobile and hand it over only for the necessary duration.

With adults in the family make certain ground rules that no mobile strictly during dinner and moments of togetherness.

That is all one can do. Rest is upto oneself as beyond a point one cannot force anyone.

Affectionately

Alok Da

It is very easy to use the word devotee. One doesn’t become a devotee by proclaiming to be one. Even Ravana proclaimed himself to be a great, even the greatest devotee of Shiva but his thoughts and deeds were otherwise leading to perdition. A true devotee of Sri Aurobindo would know that Sri Aurobindo and The Mother were not …
