AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Comfort felt with people β€” why is it that there are some people with whom you feel spontaneously so comfortable? I noticed that sometimes in choosing friends, you look for certain characteristics, etc. πŸ™‚πŸ¦‹[…]

But then, once you are friends with those people still there is still a sense of discomfort. And then some don’t fit your ideas of what a person ought to be (they may be lazy, chaotic, whatever…), and yet you feel extremely at ease and comfortable with them. How important is it for this?

It is due to affinities, a sort of natural mirroring or reflection of aspects of one’s nature in another person, or because of a certain similarity of vibrations between two people. It doesn’t mean they will be the same as each other. It is only in some aspects that there is a correspondence that can make an interesting discovery if we take a close look into the hidden aspects of our nature.Β

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Dear Da, I’m a single child. I always have this question: why don’t I have a sibling with whom I can share things? Also, my parents have a greater realisation of the Divine, so whenever I try something out of spirituality or try to get mixed with society, they get to know things from within and always doubt my intentions and try to keep me under their influence. πŸ˜’πŸŒΈπŸ‘¨πŸ»β€πŸ‘©πŸ»β€πŸ‘§πŸ»β€πŸ‘¦πŸ»πŸƒ[…]

I want to know if The Mother refers to Sri Aurobindo as ‘Lord’? And so, when They say, the aim of life is to know the Divine and unite with It, do they mean to know the Lord and unite with Him? So, do we look to know Sri Aurobindo and The Mother as the Divine, and unite with Them by offering ourselves to Them integrally? I am curious how you understand this and practice this aim of Life. πŸ˜ŠπŸ™πŸ»πŸͺ·β€οΈβ€πŸ”₯
