The Cosmic Divine is Sri Krishna, the Divine who works in the world through the agency of Time and the gods and operates according to the necessities of the play as it unfolds. Of course Sri Krishna is the Purushottama as well and hence transcends all, but in his actual action He upholds the Cosmic Will as it expresses from the Overmind Consciousness. The Overmind Consciousness is the domain of the Cosmic Divine who holds the Cosmic Truth as received from the Supramental and manifests it through the dual play of Knowledge and Ignorance.

The Transcendent Divine is the Supermind and beyond. It is manifested in Sri Aurobindo and the Mother. It can completely change the movement of Time itself by bringing into play the Knowledge and Power of the Highest. The supramental action introduces a completely new element in the cosmic Consciousness that changes the nature of the play, the balance of powers and acts with an absolute Power that can override the Cosmic determinism and the Law.

Dear Alok Da, I write with deep respect to navigate a personal dilemma as I seek to purify my bhakti in the flames of knowledge rather than rely on borrowed piety.
