Premananda’s disciple—the same disciple who appeared in so many of his videos, always showing those fake smiles ended up dying by suicide. To me, that is yet another painful reminder that there is no divine help. I have never felt any divine help, LOL, because there is no help. This is all BUSINESS.
These are irrational statements based on a priori biases and emotional outbursts.
1) Because one of the disciples of a particular spiritual man commits suicide or whatever else, therefore there is no Divine intervention! Any logical, statistically oriented person would laugh at this ridiculous conclusion. It shows an a priori bias since you are giving an exaggerated importance to one instance while ignoring several others.
2) The second illogical statement is rushing to the conclusion that he committed suicide. If it is true, as you say, that he was prominently present in the Satsangs and seemed happy, then a logical person would not buy the suicide theory so easily. He would instead wait for a thorough, deeper investigation.
3) The third and most preposterous illogical statement is that because you have not felt any Divine intervention, therefore there is none. Fantastic conclusion. Even a person who genuinely tried to find the Divine and didn’t find intervention would not draw such a conclusion! You have not even tried and yet concluded. It is somewhat like a person who doesn’t understand the formulas of physics, has never seen an electron concludes that these particles do not exist because HE HAS NOT EXPERIENCED THEM. Fantastic logic, or the illogicality of it.
I could go on, but let me close by pointing out the most fantastic of all your conclusions: that all is business and commerce. It implies that the authors of the Vedas and the Upanishads who did not even care to put their names to their writings, the mystic poets and seers who didn’t care a button for fame, Swami Vivekananda and Sri Ramakrishna who lived bare and simple, Sri Aurobindo who, despite his Cambridge education renounced the ICS and then the lucrative post of the Maharaja for the freedom struggle and had not enough money for the next meal, not to speak of the most famous Indian icons, Rama who easily renounced the kingdom for keeping his word and Krishna who, at 90 stood by the Pandavas because their rights were usurped (and who never accepted any crown) were all running after pots of gold. I could go on with several, literally several examples. All that I can say is that one sees in the world what one carries inside oneself. A person chasing money sees the greed for money everywhere. A lusty person sees lust. A person with mud in the eyes sees the sun as a muddy speck of light. The mouse sees the elephant as a glorified mouse and so on and so forth. Thankfully, the Divine grows and continues to grow despite such absurd, illogical calumnies against Him. And, to close, since that’s where your thoughts come from, the Communists and the far left is a dying breed within less than a couple of centuries, while Sanatana Dharma continues to grow in the minds and hearts of people. So LOL (laugh out loud) if you wish, but know that these are the LOL (last of laughs) of a dying world that is turning a new divine chapter in the life of civilisations, just as the day breaks in after the bad dreams of the night.
Affectionately,
Alok Da
