AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Hi Alok sir, I have been struggling with intrusive thoughts and don’t know how to finally be free from them. I believe that this is a lesson god gave to me to teach me how to be more grateful in life for days I was actually normal, as I have experienced the worst. […]🧠🌿🙏🏼

I just wanted to know if you have any advice on how I can stop believing my intrusive thoughts and be free from them forever?

It is of course always good to be grateful all that life gives us. In fact, we should be grateful even for all that we are not given since it helps as a spur towards progress. And to take one more step and be grateful for all the ordeals of life as they come to help us take a leap by facing and overcoming the various challenges. Take life and all its hardships as a challenge and overcome them with the help of the Divine Grace.

Coming to the difficulty of intrusive thoughts, there is a law of life that whatever we focus on much tends to increase. It applies to difficulties as well. Intrusive thoughts draw our attention both when they come as well as when we try to stop them. A simpler and better way is to ignore them, to turn your mind away and go about doing your work. Staying busy with work and learning new things itself helps. The other method is to be a witness to all the thoughts as one watches the waves rising and falling in a river or sea. Do not judge or try to stop, just observe. Staying busy with work, ignoring and witnessing are three simple ways to weaken this tendency. Opening to the Divine Grace does the magic rest.

Affectionately,

Alok da

God residing within us means that the very Source of creation, the Almighty, All-knowing, All-loving Creator is with us. Would you then have any fear or suffering when you know, not just intellectually but as a matter of fact when we discover that the Divine Himself is always with us. All that we will have to do then is to turn towards Him …

How to achieve spontaneity in action cos I am struggling with this problem of being decisive and sticking to a plan and rather burden myself with so many permutations and combinations of various scenarios that are gonna play out if I follow a course of action and, in the end, come to doubt the very plan itself. 🧠⚡🧭[…]

The difference between thought and action is a most common difficulty. Its reason is not that the physical mind gets into an obsessive mode. It creates difficulty in decision, an indecisiveness because the mind wants to know with certainty that the decision is correct and the action will bring the desired results.
