As a thumb rule for all these experiences, if one wants to see something, then the vision could be doubtful, as the mind can very well formulate things. But if one sees something spontaneously, the chances are it is true.
Secondly, all inner experiences have to be accompanied by a certain subjective psychological state or will show up sooner or later manifest their symbol in the outer world.
At the same time, one should not be attached to any of these experiences and wait for the definitive ones, that is to say, Peace, Wisdom, stillness, freedom from lower movements, increasing identification with the Divine.
