AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

I had asked you about why is it that I am having difficulty associating with, let us say, pictures of Gods๐Ÿ˜‡, Vishnu on Naga or Shankar on Kailash mountain. As I am studying more and more about Life after Death and Souls, I am realizing more and more, that although souls or spirits are pure energy, there must be some system as what happens to soul after he leaves the body. Let me explain further.

Our scriptures talk about Chitragupt, where I guess one has to look back on life, what was achieved, what left undone, and most importantly, how one achieved it. After that the soul goes to rest, as we saw in case of my father, that he now was with Sri Aurobindo and The Mother. Although it took almost 11 earthy months for that. After the soul is ready again he starts the process of rebirth again. Obviously, my father’s evolution level is not that of Shri Aurobindo’s. and since it is all energy there , it must be that more evolved souls have more concentrated energy. If I follow this line of thought, I can see that there is a ‘Source” somewhere up there. For ease of mortal beings to understand They have been given names, Bramha, Vishnu, Mahesh. Now I can see how a Part and the Whole of Vishnu can come down as Avatar. Am I on the right path of thinking?

Quite so. We can look at the soul as the individualisation of pure energy or pure consciousness and hence it is a drop of Truth mixed with the surface personality formed by Nature. Chitragupt is evidently, as the name suggests, the hidden Eye that misses nothing and records all that has happened with us during our earthly sojourn.

Equally the infinite formless Energy assumes forms to canalise Its Powers into specific and distinct domains. If it doesnโ€™t do so then it will all be a hodge podge and not specific Gods with distinct functions. Forms are needed to create individualities.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Respected Alok da, when you realised Maa is everything and in everything. Then, if you go for Puja Rituals like Brata-Upabasha according to Hindu Dharma (you see Mother in every Gods), then is that insincerity to Maa?
