AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

I was reading these lines on the functionality of subtle matter from Savitri🕊️: This wonderworld with all its radiant boon Of vision and inviolate happiness, Only for expression cares and perfect form; Fair on its peaks, it has dangerous nether planes

Its light draws towards the verge of Nature’s lapse; It lends beauty to the terror of the gulfs And fascinating eyes to perilous Gods, Invests with grace the demon and the snake.

1) Does that mean that the subtle matter is a region which only creates most beautiful forms and cares least about right or wrong while doing this? On earth, we see some dangerous and deceptive human beings with beautiful faces and charming personalities (especially celebrities). Are all these shapes and form a result of the subtle physical?

Absolutely. In fact none of the inner worlds care about right or wrong which is uniquely a human concept. The world of glamour is full of these kinds but adds deception and falsehood from the dark worlds. Subtle world does not add deception or falsehood. It is like the plastic surgeon who restores the face of good and evil people alike.

2) Also, I did not understand how the subtle physical contains “dangerous nether planes”. I thought it was totally a world of beauty.

Nether planes and higher planes are in all the three worlds. There are beings and forces that are in close contact with the subconscient world and vice versa. The same is true of the vital worlds as well as little mind worlds.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Partly it is due to the strong awakening of Rajas in a society that was, for a rather long time oppressed, supressed and made to feel low, in one word tamas. This is a resurgence of excessive rajas which will sooner or later stabilise and, given the …
