AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

I was sleeping in the afternoon when I had a dream. I stepped out of my house and walked a short distance when I saw a girl—someone I had never met in my life—driving a white car; my first wife was sitting in the passenger seat. 💭🚘👩🏼🌸[…]

I thought she would get off right there, but the girl turned the car around and started to leave. I ran after them, calling out, “Hey, where are you going? Aren’t you supposed to get off?” A little further ahead, my first wife stepped out—strong winds began to blow—and she started boarding a yellow school bus. She told me she had perhaps left her watch behind and was heading to Ganesh Dungri. Then, I received a call from my previous lover asking if she could come over to my house to study; I told her it was fine.

As I was walking, wondering what I would tell my family at home, that girl made me get into the car and drove me toward my village. She stood just outside the village wearing a mask; she held a notebook and a book, with a bag full of books slung over her back. There were many other boys there heading to the library—there is an old school nearby—so I assumed she would go to the library. Instead, she saw our car, got in, and closed the door, while I remained anxious about what I would say at home.

The dream does suggest a shift in destiny because of the leap you have taken towards the future. The past and its associations and consequences are being left behind while new things closer to your heart and soul are drawing near.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Wish you a beautiful birthday. May you open more and more to Her Grace and Love. May all loneliness be dissolved in Her sweet embrace of Love.

Coming to your question, the world is suffering today because much of humanity has cut itself off from the Divine within. It has either lost its faith in God under the spell of skepticism or else managed to shut Him in prisons of narrow creeds and rigid formulas. What children need most is living example of persons who breath…

Mumma scolds me many times a day, and if once I do something that she thinks I did wrong, she will not stop and will scold me for small things after that, and then she says she doesn’t scold me, in denial. What to do? 🙄👩🏻‍👦🏻🌾

Yes sometimes it does feel annoying when parents do not listen to the demands of the child and instead scold them. If you see carefully, the reason is not difficult to understand. It is simply because through learning and …
