AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

In one of the videos, you mentioned that Sri Aurobindo’s basic Sadhana was completed by 1918. In another, there was a talk about His higher Sadhana. If I remember correctly it was like when He experienced Parbrahm, He went in solitude, started higher Sadhana for bringing that consciousness into matter. Mother said there are three ways to serve: 📖🙏🏻 […]

1. through work,

2. through finances,

3. by doing Sadhana.

Have Sri Aurobindo and Sri Maa written about the Sadhanas they did? I wish to know which Sadhanas they did.

Sri Aurobindo’s personal sadhana is documented to some extent in Records of Yoga, especially the section on Yoga chatusthya. Its practical side is given in The Synthesis of Yoga.

The Mother’s sadhana is largely unknown, but She has hinted at certain things that are most needed for us in Her Prayers and Meditations.

Of course the whole of Savitri is an elaborate account of their personal sadhana, experiences and realisations.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

Each soul brings its own destiny. Two persons living in the same house need not have the same degree of inner evolution. They may be not only in different …

I want to do that and become financially independent, but whenever I mention going to another place for a job, my parents deny and they say, “This is your age for marriage and what will society think if you go out?” 🌱🧭 […]

I completely agree with you and fully understand your need to travel alone, find your own partner and make your choices. It is the right thing to do and is the dharma of the Age. How else will one grow and discover oneself.

But this will be very difficult as long as you are financially dependent in some way or the other on the family. The most important thing you need therefore is to have is financial independence. As long as you depend upon…
