AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Inspired by Tara Jauhar’s Growing Up with The Mother, I have been trying to bridge conscious aspiration with my dream state to connect with The Mother. 🌙🕯️[…]

Recently, after aspiring deeply before sleep, I dreamt of three hostile-possessed children who were calmed and freed when I chanted the Mother’s mantra (“Om Anandamayi…”). However, right after the hostile forces left them, I felt affected, began acting erratically myself, and was jolted awake by a voice commanding me to stop. What does this dream signify regarding inner purification, vital struggles, and staying receptive to the Mother’s protection?

It means three things. First and foremost, and the most important is that you are open to The Mother.

Secondly, you have a healing capacity in you and your approach to healing is primarily spiritual.

Third, and this is where one must be careful is that, you are also open to the other occult forces. Hence, you must be conscious and learn to protect yourself lest you get contaminated by the consciousness of those whom you heal. Especially you must avoid sympathetic and emotional reactions towards those who have suffered some kind of a derangement. It is good to remain in a state of inwardness and draw a little curtain of Her Light around you especially when you are engaged in healing.

Take the mantra you spontaneously uttered in the dream as your mantra. It will protect you.

Affectionately,

Alok Da

I dreamt of some crows on a tree, some in the open sky. 1st I liked their black color (black beauty). Then I tried to touch them but didn’t. They flew from my very close to me. But after some time, something happened: an element like subtle like crystal/ transparent little rope but thick, as if falling upon my neck. 🐦🌙[..]

The crow generally symbolise practical cleverness though sometimes they are believed to be communicating mediums between the ancestors and the living. May be they came to bless you and give the gift of cleverness.

I just have one last question related to psychosis. Is it worth trying to analyze the meaning of the experiences that I had during psychosis (whatever I remember)? Or should I just forget them like a bad dream? For years I have been trying to find answers; maybe there are none. 🕊️🙏🏼

There is always a meaning or rather a reflection of certain inner states. But it is difficult to find it out either by oneself or by the average psychiatrist. If one can find the meaning it is good. But the medicines should not be discontinued….
