AT THE FEET OF THE MOTHER
Ask Alok da

Jai ma! I have heard like 100 videos/ lectures of yours and still going on, will finish all! It’s happening automatically/easily, most likely because I live 30 min away from Sadhana Peetham Lodi. ๐Ÿ“–โœจ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ[…]

Yes, I have been there more than 10 times in the last year tho My path is different, but I do dance with Savitri Q. My question is something which deserves a lecture: Does Savitri hold the same significance/ Mantric poetry power if read in Hindi translation? If not, how is it different or lessened!

Jai Maa. Yes, I have been to Lodi number of times, especially during the installation of Sri Aurobindo’s sacred Relics.

A mantra is best read in the language in which it has manifested. There is a reason, a purpose, why Savitri has emerged as the mantra of transformation in English. It is best read in the language in which it has been written. Of course, one can refer to some of the meanings in Hindi, but the reading is best done in English, as it then contains the original rhythm of sound and the full power embedded within it.

Affectionately,ย

Alok da

We should try to practice equanimity in the face of the touches of nature such as heat or cold, remarks of people such as praise or insult, gains and losses, success and failures, pleasure and pain. This is the foundation.
